Trabajando la complejidad de los encuadres en el bosque, tuvimos un encuentro temporal muy potente con la luz. El pinar donde nos encontrabamos pasó de forma fulminante de ser un lugar sin volúmen, caótico, sin profundidad ni perspectiva clara, a una locura de líneas y contrastes, diseño gráfico por un tubo y por todos lados, allí donde dirigieras la mirada....

 Working the complexity of the frames in the woods, we had a very powerful temporary encounter with the light. The pine forest where we were on, passed in a fulminant way from a place with no volume, chaotic, without depth or clear perspective, to a frenzy of lines and contrasts, graphic design in tubes, everywhere, and anywhere you looked ...

Aparecieron líneas de luz y sombra rompiendo el sustrato, el entorno se llenó de geometrías, perspectiva y dinámica. Los fuertes contrastes junto a las sombras se acentuaron, el bosque cobró una nueva dimensión...

Light and shadow lines appeard breaking the soil, the environment became a space full of geometry, perspective and dynamics. The strong contrasts were accentuated, the forest took on a new dimension...

Ya que la luz era bastante dura y nos permitía obturaciones junto a diafragmas y sensibilidades más que razonables, nos pusimos a mano alzada disfrutando de la libertad de movimientos, evitando así la lentitud y la precisión del trípode...

 Since the light was quite hard and we could use diaphragms and shutters with sensibilities more than reasonable, we started freehanded enjoying the freedom of movement, avoiding the slowness and the accuracy of the tripod ...

Era impresionante ver como la evolución de la luz subía y bajaba de intensidad entre el caos de troncos... En un momento se podían visualizar perfectamente como las líneas llegaban y luego desaparecían, los arboles pasaban de ser una masa indefinida de líneas de color homogéneo al volúmen, a la verticalidad pintada en fragmentos o trazos semiparalelos..

It was impressive to see evolution of the light intensity shifting softly up and down between the chaos of logs ... In a moment we could see perfectly how the lines came in and then disappeared, the trees went from being an undefined mass of homogeneous color and lines to the volume, to the verticality painted on fragments or semiparallel strokes ..

Lo más complicado del ángulo de la luz era trabajar las perspectivas sin que apareciera la sombra del que hace la foto. Aquí mi cuerpo hace algo de sombra aunque la disimulara lo mejor posible con el propio bosque.

The most complicated in the angle of the light was working without showing prospects of self shadow in the frame. Here my body does some shade although I tried my best to integrate it with the forest itself.

Realmente el ensayo fué más corto de lo que nos hubiera gustado, ya que el cielo estaba semicubierto y había momentos en que desaparecía esa dimensión lineal que tanto nos gustó experimentar. Cuando el sol desapareció y el bosque se "apagó" fue momento de relajarse tras el "subidón", repasar por encima los resultados y reflexionar sobre la importancia de un breve momento... era hora de recoger los bártulos para trabajar el ocaso y la salida de luna en algún risco con buenas vistas y posibilidades... ver fotografía "Ecos"...., trabajando esencialmente lo mismo pero de forma nocturna, las líneas, los elementos, la luz.

Actually the essay was shorter than we would have liked, as the sky was partially covered and there were times the linear dimension we both liked much to experience vanished . When the sun disappeared and the forest was "off" it was time to relax after the "high" above, reviewing the results and reflecting on the importance of a fleeting moment ... it was time to pick up the gear to work the sunset and moonrise in a ridge with good views and possibilities ... see picture "Echoes" ...., working essentially the same but in a night mode, the lines, the elements, light.
